Draft — not yet legally reviewed. This page describes how Snapdrop actually works today, in plain language, but it hasn't been reviewed by a lawyer and should be before you rely on it as a binding contract.

1. The Service

Snapdrop ("the Service") is a web-based platform operated by Shawcando Consulting that enables customers to send photos to participating print and copy shops by scanning a QR code. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

2. Acceptable Use

You agree not to upload illegal, harmful, or infringing content; not to attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service; and not to use automated scripts or bots to interact with the Service.

3. File Deletion

Uploaded photos and order details are automatically deleted after your plan's retention period — 48 hours on the Free plan, 90 days on Pro — counted from when the order is finalised. Sessions that are started but never finalised are deleted automatically after a short period of inactivity. You are responsible for keeping your own copies of anything you need — once deleted, photos cannot be recovered.

4. For Print Shops — Subscriptions

A free limited tier is available. A paid annual subscription (Pro, currently €30/year) is available for higher usage. See Section 5 for how cancellation and refunds work.

5. Cancellation and Refunds

EU consumers have a 14-day right to cancel most online purchases without giving a reason. We go beyond this: cancelling within your first month of a Pro subscription gets a full refund, and partial refunds remain available on a declining scale for the rest of your billing year, as follows:

"Month" means each 30-day period since your current billing period started, not calendar months.

Within your first month, you can cancel directly from your dashboard — this refunds you in full and ends your subscription immediately. After your first month, submit a cancellation request with a reason from your dashboard; our support team will review and process it, normally within a few working days, at the refund percentage shown above for however far into your billing year you are.

Either way, once a cancellation is actually processed: your Pro access ends immediately (not at the end of your paid period), refunds go to your original payment method (typically 5–10 business days to appear), and your account moves to the Free plan's storage limits straight away — any orders older than 48 hours are removed on the next automatic cleanup, so download or print anything you still need beforehand.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Shawcando Consulting is not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the preceding 12 months, or €100, whichever is greater. Nothing limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

7. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the Irish courts. EU consumers may also use the European Online Dispute Resolution platform.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms with 14 days' notice to registered shop operators. Continued use constitutes acceptance.

9. Data Processing

Shop operators processing their customers' personal data through Snapdrop should refer to our Data Processing Agreement, which governs how we process that data on your behalf.
